F.O.C.U.S. On L.O.V.E.

L.O.V.E.- Lifting Oneself and Others towards Victory and Excellence is a Way of Life.

The primary goal of the L.O.V.E. Foundation is to help individuals apply the L.O.V.E. Principle powered by F.O.C.U.S. Lifting to transform their lives in order to reach their full potential.

Evan made a decision very early in his young life to live by the L.O.V.E. Principle. That is why after his untimely passing, our family was bombarded with stories of how Evan applied this principle to lift others constantly.

Keon Broxton, a current Professional Major League Baseball player with the Milwaukee Brewers shared how Evan helped him transition into a new school. Keon transferred into Evan’s high school as a sophomore without knowing anyone. He told us that on the very first day, Evan (who was a junior) took him under his wings. Evan introduced him to all his friends and made Keon’s transition to the Lakeland High School baseball team seamless.  Keon also related to us how Evan helped him to grow as a person, a student, and an excellent baseball player.

One of my employees, who worked at a satellite office, recounted to me shortly after Evan’s passing how he helped her daughter.  As the mother could not pick her daughter up after school because of work responsibilities, Evan volunteered to drive the student home after school before he returned to his various activities.  Evan did his “good” quietly and considerately. No one in our family knew anything about these arrangements.   These are only a few stories of Evan putting his L.O.V.E. into action and selflessly lifting and helping others.

The L.O.V.E. Principle is based on our ability to choose a mindset that focuses on giving. It is a conscious or subconscious choice that we make every day. Many people do not realize that they have the ability to make this choice. In subsequent blogs, I will expound on each letter of the L.O.V.E. Principle in order to emphasize the exceptional, yet simple meaning of L.O.V.E., especially in routine, everyday situations.

Once we dissect the L.O.V.E. Principle and show you the benefits of incorporating this principle into your everyday life, then we will show you how to power the L.O.V.E. Principle by using the process of F.O.C.U.S. Lifting.

F.O.C.U.S. Lifting is a simple 5 step mental checklist. It will help us to live and apply the L.O.V.E. Principle by giving one the ability to deliberately create a mindset – so powerful and focused – that you will be inspired to lift yourself and others to success. Remember: “What you tell yourself every day will either lift you up or tear you down.”  Recognize that you have this choice and then F.O.C.U.S.

Next time we will dive deeper into the letter “L” of the L.O.V.E. Principle with more depth and clarity.

Call to Action: Emulate Evan and make a decision this week to L.O.V.E. one person (whom you may or may not know) gifting them with a Random Act of Kindness. In our COVID-19 world, we all need a random act of kindness.  Give one this week and hopefully, it will be returned to you.
