Excitement continues to build as the community prepares for the Kids Baseball & Softball Camp taking place on February 7 at Peterson Park in Lakeland, for boys and girls ages 5-12. Hosted by R2Cares in partnership with the Evan Michael Chambers L.O.V.E. Foundation, this camp is designed to be more than a day of baseball—it’s an investment in youth development, confidence, and character.

Using sports as a powerful pathway, EMC LOVE FOUNDATION and R2Cares are committed to helping young athletes develop mental wellness, leadership, resilience, and real-life skills that extend far beyond the field. These camps emphasize teamwork, accountability, and the mindset needed to succeed in every area of life.

This year’s camp will be supported by an outstanding group of mentors and community leaders who believe deeply in the mission, including Ronnie Richardson, Chris Sale, Jalen Hairston, Kyle Ryan, Jose Pena, Marcus Judd, Flo Fit, Andrew Davino, and Mallex Smith.
